FRERET MARKET HISTORY
The Freret Market was started in September 2007 in an effort to revitalize the Freret business corridor by providing a family friendly environment for people to come and meet up with friends, listen to music and buy some art.

No Cash? No Problem!
Freret Market Money is currency consisting of custom-made poker chips that can be purchased with cash or a credit card, exchanged for food, art, jewelry or anything else sold at the market. They are available in $1, $5, $10 and $20 tokens.


Apply to Sell
We are looking for all kinds of vendors to sell at the market. Whether you are selling your produce, your art, or your junk we want you!! Fees are $60 per space per day for hot food vendors and $50 per space for all other vendors.  Once your application has been submitted, the Market will review your application to for appropriateness, and get back to you quickly. Free Parking
Plenty of free off-street parking is available in the lot at the corner of Cadiz and Magnolia.

Show your Market pride
Freret Market t-shirts, frisbees, bumpers stickers and cups are for sale at the market.
